even if it did, it would not last 20seconds, just use the std F15

A F13cr with sr clutch and flywheel will fit. You will loose top end though but should rev up quicker.

im using a gte flywheel and clutch on a F15Cr, and when the cams kick in the speedo just goes round, as well and the rev gauge lol

im going to use my original 8v flywheel as it is lighter. been told it works so thats the option for me. i was wondering about splines if there was diffrences on the shaft

not if you use an f15cr.. which should have come with the x16xe in the first place. According to experts f10 = 100lbft of torque cability f13 = 130 f15 150 and so on.
So as nick says no point in using the weediest box'es vauxhall made.

f15cr is best, just as vauxhall did.

If you want the ultimate, f17cr (from current/recent flock of vauxhalls) can be converted using f15 bits back to non-hydrulic clutch systems so 170lbft torque capabilities there. Best GM small block gearbox.

Ah yeah you can use 8v flywheel on f15

will the bell housing even line up on the f10 ?

It's like baxter to the future "we don't need roads" lol

I've a lightened flywheel on mine with also the F15cr mine does the same but the speedo is miles out due to the wrong speed sensor. Gains 25mph when doing 60

Good job I did this on mine then ;)

why do people want to put F10/4's on to their cars? they erm poor! long ratios without the top end? not exactly strong box either! Go with the F15CR best bet!

IIRC its the numbers refer to level of NM (Newton metres) of torque, not ft/lbs

Bellhousing wouldnt fit from an F10 and if you were thinking about quicker acceleration then thats definetly the wrong box to go for as they have stupidly long gear ratios.

its not that i dont want a f13 or f15, i would love one in my car. but the rozzers have just fined me £200, ncp £70 and also an impound release fee, also i have just spent another £150 on my gasket set and timing set for the engine lol. what a FINE month it has been :-D im short on funds at the moment, expect an update on a old abandoned project soon :-D

take it an f15 fits as easy as a f13/f10?

so whats a 4 speed go to do with you car being towed ?

mviboi

i have a licence thank you mr bax, i had the car towed due to operation "crackdown" and the fact they hadnt managed to get anyone that night. so when they saw me swerving to try hit some chav they jumped at the chance. Yes my fault my 6 points my life, get on with it and pay the premium lol. :-D

Anyone KNow why the f10 wont fit? the bellhousings look the same on the epc, and the images i can bring up on tis

f10 will fit but if you read the whole thread they not much cop. i had a f10 to fit on my 16xe but decided to just go with a f15cr instead, also i had a brand new black dimond clutch for pot type flywheel lol

well, an f10 won't fit an e16se, so i'd say an f10 won't fit a 16xe. use an f13 or bigger... you can buy an f13 from an astra for about £25

mowgli's right, the f10 uses a block designed for it , it has different casting for the starter and a smaller bellhousing too, it wont fit to an x16xe block. iirc.

:thumb: i put nm originally, lol
