Hi
I have a 89 Nova GTE with a C20xe conversion, all runs fine, I removed the fuel pump and diaphragm damper from the bottom rear of the car so I could clean up the rear subframe. I have replaced the fuel pump with a new one, but i broke the diaphragm damper when I took it off and I am waiting for a new one, I was just wondering, I have read that many people run without it anyway, I was just wondering what the potential side affects would be of running without it and does anyone know exactly what it does? does it regulate fuel pressure - ie could i replace it with an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator???? any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Toby
