gte into 1.2

ive got a gte and a 1.2 the 1.2 is mint the gte is tatty but good engine i want to put the gte into the 1.2 and iam wondering how much a garage will charge me to swap put the engine and loom into the 1.2 i will do all the other stuf eg tank and fuel pipes and brakes?????
will it be cheeper and easier to put the gte on carbs and put it in ?????

Best idea is to phone a few garages in your area mate - just get the Yellow pages out and phone some... Prices will vary from garage to garage and around the country.

before transplanting yer engine, call yer insurance company to make sure the mod is covered in your policy - you will find it jump a fair bit (depending on the usual age, NCB, area, security etc)

I recon seeing as how youre supplying both cars you'd be looking at about ?200 for a straight swap (day or two's work) - converting to carbs however is a different story - no idea how much that would be.
