View Full Version : drive shafts?
can anybody confirm something for me
are the drive shafts on a e16se engine gte
same as a very late c16se engine gsi
both should have the f13 box in?
and the cv joints have 22 splines (inner and outer)
but how many splines are on the shaft its self
where it meets the cv joint?
thanks for any help :thumb:

Should be the same, and the shafts will be 22 (rarer) or the usual 28 iirc.

anybody got any shafts for a late gsi for sale
There all the same? I thought yous was a 1.6? F13 gearbox?
1.2 shafts/cvs will fit.
yes mine is a 1.6 c16se with f13box
but i didnt know they were all the same!
AH should have made it a bit clearer in my first post. All shafts are the same, some are 22spline but you wont need to worry about them.

Nova shafts are 28 spline at the outer end, always. They can be 28 or 22 on the inner end.
thanks for your help mate, i'd rep you again but "computer says no"
i've emailed colin to see if he has any :thumb:

are they always 22 on the hub and box cv joints
on standard kit
If you dont mind replacing boots and maybe a cv or two (If it was me id replace it all anyways due to everything else on your car)
Ive got a couple of shafts FS, You know where my PM box is lol
PS: They will always be 28spline on the hub end, and eather 22 (used for 2.0) or standard 28 which came on everything lol
