I seem to recall something about using the astra's cable but shortening it? That could be totally wrong though, Im sure someone will be along to tell you whats what

astra gsi cable as long as you've got this bit...

Which goes into the cable and the front tube goes into the bracket on the tunnel...

and the guides on the beam have been swapped for tubes...

The guide tubes need to be set into the beam like in the 1st pic otherwise they'll hit on the chassis (as I find out).

If you have std Nova cable guides, use a mk2 Cav short cable & regular Nova long cable.

1st cables I trial purchased, fitted. Part nos are in my project thread.

Thanks for the info guys. Right next question. How do you actually fit the cables to the calipers? (I've never worked on rear discs!!) I assume I need to remove the discs to do this...

they use an eyelet and a hook...

Use a short cavalier estate cable and nova long, if you use a normal cav cable you will have to extend the threaded bar, the estate ones are longer.

why bother with rear discs? i had one didnt think much to it. i was forever adjusting up the handrake and cleaning it out after it kept seizing up.

you have got the different compensator valves havn't you hendrix?

I fitted mine cause it looks cool and sounds good on a spec sheet.

how does everyone go about biasing correctly?
would the correct way be to get a bias pedal box?

im not one for drawing up a spec sheet rather not let the world know what ive got especially at shows. keep them guessing ;)
i guess its a good job we all dont think alike- it would be boring otherwise

sorry for the spam guys

Whats the point it making people guess...

I never had an baising before and have never had a prob, but this time i have a inline adjuster and single rear line just to try and give a bit better power on the front brakes.

ok in other words i got bored of people asking me about my car and looking, (the one in the avatar) and rather than real off a list of what ive done to it id rather not say anymore, hence the rebuild on it in a more inconspicious paint job-

its just a personal preference thats all

I did have a diagram somewhere, I'll try and find it next time I'm up the shed.
