The thought crossed my mind, but if he had all the parts then why not!

some good work gone into it but at the end of the day would have been easier to buy a Cossie lump and chuck it in 2wd.

Not much gain? I would imagine it would be at least 200 bhp gain, granted alot of work and the horse in the back sneezing is ****ing annoying, Maybe a cosworth engine would have been better though.

thats what im getting at, there no gains running a scooby lump over a cossie lump apart from maintenance bills etc

I think you've all missed the bigger picture - he's taken a std escort and made it rwd with a hell of a lot more power - thats an improvement!!

Cossie lumps aren't cheap and tuning parts even more expensive! If he already had the scooby lump why not use it. Alot of work has gone into that too, not an easy job. If it was a Scooby powered nova posted on here everyone would be licking his rectum!!

lol I wouldn't have thought so as the majority of Nova's now eat scoobies for fun.

The best gains he will have got from using the Subaru engine rather than a cosworth is the noise !! best sounding car out there imo !!!

Well not really as thats gonna have tons more grip than a nova with a big engine in the front and scoobies can be tuned waaay above the levels of xe's or lets

i see it like the golf on the chop shop with scooby engine and R.G after all the hard work etc and wanting it to be faster than an r32 not much point as the r32 wasent much slower?
