Hi all,i have had the alternater off my sr for a while now,due to changing the cambelt,put it back on,and got it running,but the light wont go out:confused:
All the earth wires are in the right palce,same with the battery terminals,could anybody tell me what to do:thumb:

You've wired up the diode light (the small blue and white wire)? Was it ok before?
(ps what did you take the alt off for to do the cambelt?)

lol at the p.s

you got a multimetre ? check it on the battery to see if youre getting 14 volts charge, might have the alternator wired up wrong or something

Have you left it running for 5mins? Gave it a bit of revs?

So it's all wired up correctly yeah?

its something to do with the earth wire on the alt the one that has a big eyelet an the bolt goes through it
if you forget to put it on it does that
try cleaning the eyelet pos a bad earth try it at the other side of the nut /bolt
