if you have a mk1 and have a gte bumper, to convert to a gsi bumper you'll need to adjust the front end - the bumper carriage for the mk1 is different to the mk2 bumper carriage. The size is also different (mk2 bumper designed to have the little grill section beneath the lights)

The mk1 GTE bumper is deeper but basically flat whereas the mk2 gsi bumper is more curvy and deeper and has the option at the base to have various splitters added to it.

If you want to add a gsi front bumper, in my opinion you may as well do a front end change which means new wings, lights, grill, bumper carriage etc...

I'm sure you could mod a splitter to fit a GTE bumper - take a look on the galleries to see if anyone has dont it (like you I havnt seen any)

i've fitted a laguna splitter to my GTE bumper, but i had use quite a few self-tappers to prevent light shinning thourgh the recess gap (if you look at the GTE bumper the bottom goes up about 10mm directly under the no. plate) and then i used black mastic on the back to make sure. The splitter had to be cut in the middle to fit (so i could have the vents where i wanted them!) but then i just smoothed that back together, pretty neat job really!

i fixed mine on with as many self tappers i could get on it, hasn't come off yet and ive hit a few speed bumps with it!

its about 3-4 inches extra on the bottom of the bumper
