the 30mil castle nut that holds the driveshaft in the hub, it wont spin on the thread on the driveshaft. it looks like that thread has slightly worn on thet driveshaft and its not biting. wjhat can i do about this?

Are you removing or putting it on??

You can get tools that file a thread onto the bolt/shaft...

im putting it back on. so i should file the end of the thread on the driveshaft to take it back to abit of the thread that isnt worn?

lol i remember this happend to me on the rear stub axle got fed up eith midges biting me i rattled it on with a hammer and stuck the split pin in lol.

New nut for a start mate. Made a bit of a difference on mine.

Some have different threads. Some have a fine thread and others have a course one. Have alook that they are the same

i have put the washers back in. isnt there any other way to do it apart from new shaft end? ive already spent loads of money on loads of new parts.

loads of money being £20 and loads of new parts being 2 track rod ends)

Just file the end. The nut will take to the shaft eventually. Why fork out for a not needed CV?
