I am due a renewal of my mobile phone contract. Times are hard and want to renew it for a cheaper one but have a decent amount of mins txts. I am looking for around 400 mins and 400 texts for no more than £25.

Anyone get a good deal on there contract?

Cheers :thumb:

Orange do some good deals if you go for a longer (18/24 month) contract, but their phones are expensive - however if you buy from phones4u or suchlike then the phone will be cheaper/free.

Yeah i try to avoid Orange. I and some friends have had bad experiences from them overcharging every month.

How about the pay as you go deal with O2. It only works out at £15 a month.

The misses just got a new contract with O2. 100 mins, unlimited texts £15 PM for 24 months. Bargain IMO. She got that new Nokia 5800 music phone. Mines up in June so will be bargaining with Vodafone/O2. Go direct, avoid Phones4u and such places IMO.

I'm on O2 PAYG and I think it's a million times better than having a contract (I always used to go over my inclusive texts/ mins).

I top up £10/ month. For that I get 300 texts to any network. I also have a bolt on, which costs me £5 of the £10 and gives me a mix of 1000 mins and texts to my o2 numbers- which includes Dougie and my best mate. I still have £5 left to spend on calls to landlines or other networks.
On top of all that, I get 10% back every 3 months (so usually £3) and also the o2 Suprises which is usually something crap, but a bonus :thumb:

If you are certain about staying on contract, go out and have a look around. Don't let them grab you on the way in, they're NOT there to help, despite what they say lol

Avoid T-mobile. They lost a mast recently and took 2 days to get it sorted.

They tried that with me til I rang them and told them off lol

My contract is up in June and Orange are looking like win at the moment. O2 don't do enough texts (all their online tariffs only list 1k tops), where as Orange can do me 100 minutes (I don't call much), 3k texts and 500mb data for £19 a month. Only drawback is they don't do the N95 or N96 on that contract, and I refuse to have anything other than a push button Nokia lol

Is the N85 any good?

im rocking the n96 rj, its pretty good, not bothered with any cool apps for it yet though, it runs abit slow which is annoying, 16gb memory + memory card slot!

ive got a gps tracker aswell that can connect to it via bluetooth, and geotag photos from where ever i am then upload them to google earth, which is extremely gay, but cool non the less!
