hid wires :(

u fitted some hid lights last week but the wires that run from the ballast across the engine bay to the other ballast have came un done and melted on my manifold. not gone right thru but enough to see the copper wire on a few wires.

could i cut and re join then or have they got to be a certain length to work properley?

The wires from the relay to the ballasts? Cut and rejoin - they don't carry too high a voltage (its the cable from the ballast to the bulb thats the big chunker)

Shouldn't have a wire coming from one ballast to the other though...
