erm........ ooops!! how the hell did someone cross thread a glow plug?!?! i only ever cross threaded 1 spark plug before, and that was because 1 the car was getting cut in half and used as a fart about thing at college and 2 i couldnt give a rats ass at the time as the engine was near enough knackered (it was a fiesta with HUGE head gasket failure & im pretty sure that the engine was busy eating itself!)

Search me. They obviously managed to get it to stay in just enough for 150k lol. As soon as I started undoing it, I knew it was fubared, and it had a load of ally in the threads. Didnt even bother to put the new one in, just stoked the boiler and parked it up.

Sloth, CBA with it at the mo, when ive got less to do ill look for another head and probably turn it into a camper :) If I stack my other Vito, i might have a doner vehicle anyway.

Aye sloth, it did cross my mind. These merc engines will start from cold with no fapping plugs lol

But it has other issues as well, namely when it gets warm it sometimes decides it doesnt want to start and you have to wait half hour for it to decide to go again. Ive been trying to fix it for six months, doing the glowplugs was a complete stab in the dark seeing as ive changed pretty much everything else. Im actually glad I finished it off properly lol

It will get a loony petrol engine if I have my way :) Just need to convince Mark
