Recently whilst being skint and trackcar-less I've been helping with a mate who competes with a 4AGE powered rwd Starlet in the Toyota Sprint Series.

Normaly at such events or trackdays I am used to constantly having something to mend but so far I've had to do no more than undo some rathcet straps, load the ramps on a trailer and shout abuse at him to make it drive harder lol so all in all I have got it mega easy :D

The first round was at Rockingham and that went well, first in class and also beat a LOT of other cars when we expected he would get slaughtered due to the lack of power !

The second round was at Barkston Heath yesterday and couldn't of gone better, first in class, 6th overall out of 46 (and there is some very serious stuff there) and the hard charger award for basically showing massive commitment all day.

So anyway as yet I do not have any pictures but I have stuck some incar clips up on You Tube, if you look through my videos you will also find all of the videos from Rockingham

Looks quick, Barkston is ideal for a nimble car like a Starlet. I've run my Escort there a few times, and there's not much space to stretch its legs.

The MR2 race car I've got is being sold to a lad who will be using it in the TSS, that will be some serious competition for your man! (if the new owner can drive of course).

That is where most of the cars were struggling, A Celica and the Fensport Corolla were clearly on close gearing which I expect helped them get 1st and 2nd.

I had a passenger lap at the end of the day and joked about how much I would struggle to get a 4x4 through the chicanes !

Some info or pics of the MR2 would be good if you have any ?

Car seems to be a little gem.

It's a shame the Video FPS is too low & the mount point isn't central.

No crossbar so had to be mounted on the cage behind the passenger seat, I quite like the view actually

The MR2 was sold on EBAY, and is being collected by the new owner tomorrow. If he can get to grips with it, I suspect it will upset a lot of bigger cars;

and it should have fetched more money than it did!

Cheers for the link, that car won't be in the same class though as its FI, still be interesting to compare the times of the 2
