How low shall i go?

fitted my wheels on and it looks far to high how low shall i go ideally id like to slam it as much as i can, how low have others gone on 16" wheels?

i would drop it 60mm on the front and 80mm or 90mm on the back, i would have the arches well rolled if i was you. how wide are your tyres bud?

80 front, 100 back. Or try even tuck the wheels under the arch at the front, so that when lock is on the tyre has maybe 2-5mm clearance. This is how mine sits, and I reckon it's around a 80-100mm drop at front. :thumb:

Go as low as possible, 80-60 would be a comfy ride height, and look sweet too. :thumb:

its more the fronts that you need to worry about i have 195/45/16 tyres on the front and never got the arches done and it rubs like fook especially on full lock, abit annoying when your trying to park. some coilovers may need spacers bud but i would double check as decent spacers aint cheep. heres a pic of mine 60mm all round and the handling is quality too.

the rear would be nice slammed 90mm but you lose abit of handling, it depends if you want looks or performance bud.

i disagree with that. when i put 100mm springs on the back on mine it handled amazing! it was like a go kart lol

i have never had extra low springs on the back, i would of liked to but i was told off a club member you slightly lose handling but now i think i will need to try it for myself as im always looking for the best handling for my car. ps L33 LEG, have a look a my project thread.

photoshop yourself some different heights! Then you can drop it as low sa you want and then decide after!

cheers for the pic nacho mcnova i would like the rear a lot lower though so i need 60 front and approx 80-100 rears i have found the front on ebay but where can i source such low rear springs from? or even better the lot together? or is adjustables the best bet? if so advice on them dont want to spend crazy money on it but i do really need to drop her

If you can stretch to coilovers its worth it. You can set the height as you wish, play around with spring & damper rates - the worlds your oyster!

that really doesnt look like -60 to me.
with -60 my 15 inch was in the arch with the tyre.

this is how mine stands currently, front are coilovers, so i dont know about that, the rear is -80 but she's stripped out, its about as low as a normal nova with -60.
its on 14 inch banded steelies with 195-45-14

Nah low springs are just less coils generally, but obviously much thicker so they don't bottom out, 100-120mm drop springs just look kinda like pigs tails, 1 1/2 coils or so lol
