How do people attach it to the engine bracket/mount???
As it aint threaded like a OE mount?

Ive had to put a bolt through the inside of the chassis leg, and managed to hold it with a spanner through the bumper rail hole, and then tighten the nut on the thread. Is that how people usually do it?

Seems a bit dodgy to me.....

i bolted mine to the engine, done it up, then offered it up into the chassis leg mount :)

I mean the actual rubber mount itself.... How have you fitted it to the engine metal bracket????

Bolt and nut?

But how did you hold the head of thebolt?
You cant get to it because its touch the chassis leg????

The way you've done it is correct - You usually have to grind down the head of the bolt so it doesn't touch the chassis - otherwise you have some serious vibration felt though the chassis leg

Edit - I grind down a cheap spanner to slide up between the chassis leg and the mount

My mount must be different, it TOUCHES the chassis leg, you cant get even a fag paper between it and the chassis.... (hence the bolt head is sitting inside the chassis leg)

Im thinking its going to vibrate badly, cant really see much but from what i can see the bolt head is touching the chassis.....

Another tip is to grind down to metal bush sleeve in the solid mount to allow the bolt head more clearance

Cheers.
Theres a hole in the chassis leg behind the mount, which is where the head of my bolt is sitting (you cant even see the head from the engine bay side)

I think what i should of done is opened up that hole, so the head of the bolt can sit inside it without touching it.

Hmm, might have to drop the mount off and try that

im having this vibrating problem how much do i have to chop down the bolts on the passenger side engine mount?

I didnt, i just spaced the bolt out using thick washers so the thread/nut didnt touch the gearbox. If thats what you are meaning

my mounts are completely different to the 1 pictured above minehave bolt going into the mount not a bolt already sticking out, if that makes sense ???

The bolt that goes front to back through the gearbox rubber mount

theres a mount at the back of the engine that curves up onto the gearbox and 1 at the front that curves towards the back of the car and bolts onto the front of the gearbox, which 1 is the problem? thanks

im just wondering where the mount is located that seems to have the problem with the long bolts ??? cheers
