It won't start

Hi can anyone help? I'm having trouble with my 1.2 carb engined Nova, when I turn the key the heater switches light up, the fuel gauge moves and occaisionally the handbrake light comes on, but the rest of the ignition lights don't and it will not turn over. It was running fine a couple of days ago but today it started ran for a bit and now I'm left with it not working.

Any help would be appreciated :thumb:

tried the obviously like dead battery, connections of earth and positive, starter motor maybe?

check all earth straps. battery connections etc. check passenger side earth strap on chassis leg

Yeah the battery is charged, but I haven't checked the earth straps :thumb:

there the main things to check. iff need bee take it off give iv a wee clean then get it back on.. i await rep lol

Hi its up and running again, It turned out to be the earth strap that goes to chassis leg from the gear box, put a new strap on as the old one was past its best and cleaned the areas that it goes to, Thank you very much for your help and advice!! :thumb:
