I would like to use my ipod in the car. Have seen thise FM transmitters but TBH i would prefer a hard wired option. I have a headunit with preouts, can io get a cable and connect my Ipod using these? Any links? Ta.

Suppose it depends on what headunit you have.

I have one of these Kenwood KCA-IP500 and works well even with my iPhone.

I thought preouts are for output signals... i.e. RCA outputs to amplifiers...

This is soon to be replaced though by a Kenwood touch screen DVD headunit which is still in the box unopened, now for 4 years lol
