Gunk, paint brush, leave to soak, pressure washer it off. Wrap all electrics in plastic first, but be careful. Also try not to keep moving with the lance, dont want to force water in where its not wanted.

just get some engine degreaser in a 1001 spray bottle and get water in a same bottle and spray clean and then spray with the other one, i found it better it saves you getting wet as well plus you get less oil and water everywhere else! and all over the road or drive. Just stick paper or card board underneath!
Steam it yourself if you have a wall paper stripper, its fecking easy as pie!

Have a look at Detailing World and look up the boys at Pollished Bliss.
I use Eimann Fabrik Engine Degreaser its about 15 pound a bottle and its the best in the business.
Hope This Helps ;)
