rite this is a question for a friend he has got a 1.2 carb nova and a 1.4 single point engine he wants to no can he put his carb and inlet on the 1.4 and will it be ok or is it a case of difrent inlet shapes :thumb:

Inports are different Plus the carb will run to lean. Just find a 1.4SR carb and inlet. I converted a spi to run a carb a while back.

he is trying at the mo to find a 1.4 carb and inlet but its not as easy as it use to be

Aye i know, il ask a mate of mine when i get chance. He will need the 1.4 cam, cambox and all the dizzy/coil setup.

its quite a bit of work, as you need to remove quite a bit of wiring ect as there not as many sensors on the Carb compared to Inj, iirc carb engines dont have things like lambda, hall sensor, coolent temp sensor, MAF sensor, road speed sensor........ ect ect

LMAO Ofc there are no sensors on it! You ditch the SPI loom totaly. Carb just needs the temp sensor and the starter/alternator wirng.....
