Ok :D at Billing 2 years ago, I parked my Cav outside the hotel we were staying in and put my new lock on it. Later on that night we went to go out for a pizza and I couldn't find the key for the lock. The car sat there all bloody weekend :( I was especially gutted as I'd spent 2 days clening the bugger). Luckily, Dougie had his Cav there too so we weren't stuck for transport and managed to get along to B&Q for some hacksaws and blades. It took hours to saw through the wheel. I loved that wheel too :( Then we driove back up the road (me with a massive gap in my wheel) and dropped my Cav off as we were going to Scotland. As I locked my car up, I closed the ashtrays (little pikeys will break into a car for that 18p in coppers and leaky AAA battery y'know) and there were the keys... they'd been there all anong, less than a foot from the steering wheel.

On Thursday last week I locked my car up at work, but had to park far away so I put the steering lock on. I went to move it at lunch when some closer spaces were available but my key was no longer on my keyring. Really strange since I've not tampered with them recently. So I was EXTREMELY stressed out. Dougie wouldn't have been too happy if I'd have sawn through the wheel which he'd donated after my last lock-failure. I went in with a screwdriver and bust the lock but it still wouldn't undo. I'd been almost 2 hours on my lunch by this time so decided I'd better go in and explain. Then one of the chefs said he could do it, he talks crap so I didn't believe him but low and behold, he got the damn thing off no problem!

So I think you should hide the spare key in the car somewhere good. Or just not be as much of a numpty as me and leave the spare 160 miles away on the keys to the wrong car lol
