I know there are lots of threads on here with contradicting views.
But i have a gsi nova that at present is std although i am putting a red top in when i get the time. does anyone know the pros and cons of these 2 suspension set ups, i will be driving for 6months at least befor i change the engine. i run cav slabs and the bilsteins drop 55mm front 40mm rear will this be ok? If i had Gaz would i have to modify anything and how do they ride for A + B roads driven fast.
It would be intresting to here peoples input as i only want to buy it once and cant afford expensive mistakes.

Have a search on here for coilover info. Bilsteins, shock and spring setup i take it? Coilovers will be fairly firm. Will need extra poundage springs for the XE engine (extra front end weight) obviously.

Are Billy B12's the fat piston ones? So B10 are the regular 'yellows'?? Personally I'd go with coilovers as they give the best scope for future usage & if the car evolves beyond what you have planned now.

I appreciate the attitude towards expensive mistakes & buying once. Crappy suspension is where I have had the most issues. I have wasted hundreds on rubbish kit. Bought some GAZ coilovers back in jan & am happy though.

B12's are yellow in the picture are slightly dearer than the B10 power kit and lower the car 30mm but they dont give poundage.

these B10;s are blue and give poundage and lower the car 55 front 40mm rear so they are lower. i run slabs and the front sits very high at present is 55mm about right?
What are the Gaz like on country roads and fast sweeping B roads which is what i will be mainly driving on, are they adjustable and how much do they cost for a set. if i buy poundage for when i put the extra weight in will it effect it adversly by not having the weight if it takes me a while to put the engine in and i end up keeping the small block?
