fuel consuption on carbs

what u rekon i should be gettin to the gallon with my 16 on 40s .think am gettin about 50 mile to a tenner :cry:

not that bad. about 20 to the gallon, depends how you drive it

have just removed an xe on R1 carbs from my nova and it liked a drink of go go juice, if i put 20 quid in tank it wud be lucky to get 70 - 80 mile dependant upon how it was driven. needless to say with the old novas dodgy fuel sender giving wrong fuel readings ive ran out a few times aswell.

are the carbs jetted up right to the engine, this may cause over fuelling. when i ran 40's got about 15-35 mpg depending how hard i drove it. but they do sound ace !
