Mesh grille

Any advice on doing a mesh grille on a mk2? I've fancied doing this for a while now, is it straight forward?

easiest mod you will ever do.

hardest part is getting the grille off

once off cut the black slats out from behind LEAVING the outside of the black frame on

wire tie, drill and scre, no more nail etc etc (any method) the wire mesh to the black surround YOU LEFT ON

this was my method

like mike says cut the black grill out but leave trhe black surround.

cut mesh to about grill size, slightly bigger.

then tightly fold it round the back of the grill, making sure it is in and out of the connection holes (bend it back do its tight)

get a hammer and band the blcak frame on top.

this held mine well without using glue or wireties. Was hard as a rock :D
