what ignition system do people use on xe engines when running carbs?
2l 8v dizzy fit?

Companies do the parts, H&H ignitions do thats what I've got for xe for running bike carbs.

yes mk2 cav dizzy with amp and wiring for the coil, you can use redtop coil with this lot, just removed all this from my nova redtop on R1 bike carbs.
and rare to come by now mate.

is it expensive though?

i have a set of 40s just lazing about, going to need a manifold too

easer to get mappable ignition system, probably cheaper aswell lol

manifolds on ebay, there's been a few on there recently...

I bought a complete kit with the carbs etc. I was lazy... lol Got the reciept for £220. Although I know another member got some bits off them the other day at a good price.

Get on their website, there's a few companies out there. There was a complete ignition set-up on ebay last week with 2 brand new dizzy's and 2 coils with the amp, leads and loom. Sold for £113... Crazy!

i have evrythn listed in parts for sale wot needed to run carbs on xe, also have got spare wiring and amp needed for runing carbs.

best bet is to run a mappable ingnition only system with a dis pack ( distributless ignion system) and have it mapped or run a standard map and tweek it from any standard laptop runnin sxtune or easimap :D
