1.2i running problems??!!

my car just doesn't seem to wana move, if i floor it, it just lags and doesn't wana move unless i am goin down a hill and it does then i have sprayed some carb cleaner and done what i am ment to do then i drive down the road and it is alrite for about 5 minutes then just goes back to how it was and last thing i do have petrol. :confused:

nah it flash's sometimes, could it be the lambda sensor?

if its bringing on the light then it will have a code in the ecu im sure somebody on here can tell you how to check the codes. use the png search.

Type topbuzz into google. On that site there is help on how to do the paper clip test and also has help on ecu flash codes.

i've checked for codes on the ecu and it just kept flashin 12 untill i took the key out :S???!!!

How many times? it should flash 3times and then change code?

sounds like a sensor is on its way out, but its not stopping on long enough to log the code

lol a spi engine has a few more sensors than a lamba. Lamba would cause it to come on when warm and stay on iirc.

Does the light come on at a specfic rpm/cond

done the cambelt, plugs, leads, cleaned the points on cap bout 300 miles max ago??

Have you a fuel filter on? If so have you changed it? Maybe try some injection cleaner as it could possibly be that the injectors are blocked.

just only fing is my mates corsa is doin same thing and his engine is ecotec?

Edit: this will not by the way stop the eml light flashing which seems to be odd.
