Hi, this is my latest project. seem to be getting loads and never finishing them..lol
i bought this one as a rolling shell (was a 300+bhp c20let), been seam welded, chris astley motorsport chassis plating kit, seam/stitch welded.the shell is fairly solid, it has had a couple of patches but silly things like bottom of arch on the sill. shell itslef is good!
my plans are to strip it down, tidy it up, re-spray, gsi kit, my speedlines or cesaro's, c20xe, gsi interior, polybushes, coilovers, 16v brakes etc..
not going to be mega spec or concourse but want to make it as tidy as i can with the tight budget i am on..
now for some pics..

i have strpped the front end tonight and i am pleased with what i have found..no rot! it has a removable slam panel for the LET that was in it, i am going to keep it but instead of bolting it on make some sort of quick release pins..
more pics soon..

I saw the pics the other night, looks a good shell...
How long though till you'll even be able to drive it legally on the road? And the cost of insurance will be silly.
Have you got Nova collection ocd??? lol Crack on...

seam welded instead of stitch, not too happy about that but it wont pull apart anyway..(clean seams)
http://i549.photobucket.com/albums/ii398/Vauxuki/DSC00107.jpg
solid in here which is good as its a common place and is a bitch to repair properly..
http://i549.photobucket.com/albums/ii398/Vauxuki/DSC00106.jpg
there is no rot in there, just stitc welded and seam sealed..
http://i549.photobucket.com/albums/ii398/Vauxuki/DSC00104.jpg
again stitch welded and sealed..

looks smart as pall i shall be watching.

Looks a good solid base. Its nice when you have a good Nova to start from, I made that mistake 1st time round.
You going to stitch weld the front arches too?
Red GSi look lowered 60mm front and 80mm rear with good old Speedlines would look nice.

this is me eventually just finding time to do something with this shell.
i did have it advertised for sale, but decided to keep it as it cost me next to nothing.
this is what i have been doing since 5 o'clock tonight..
seam welded engine bay completly and under all the arches etc..

the only thing left to do on front end is the strut top plates, next thing is to get the shell onto it's side and stitch weld underneath..
good progress lad glad your keeping it.
