can anyone shed some light as to what the 2 pin switch does on the back of my inlet manifold?

it an e16se, the sensor sits on the right hand side of the inlet manifold (looking from the front) it has a two pin plug, it threads into a sort of adaptor that has a larger 22mm ish bolt.

the sensor itself looks very similar to the coolant temperature sensor for the ecu.

its realy bugging me now because even vauxhall cant identify it! mighty gay! :tard:

the car wont start unless it is bump started once it is warm and i think this switch is to blame! (i broke it off when i was putting the head on lol, but been using it like it for months lol lol)

any help appreciated

whats left of the switch. you can see the larger part that it treads into and the hole where the inners of the sensor and plastic plug end would be if they hadnt been snapped off! doh!

i think i did and nothing came out, looks similer to the coolant temp sensor thought
if it does what would it be then?
the temp gauge switch is to the rear of where that switch is and the coolant temperature sender is below the dizzy . thats why im stumped!

iv looked on autodata and they dont list the dam thing! every sensor but this one. i was hoping someone with a giant brain might know exactly what switch/sensor it is.

i got pulled over the other day and had to get the cop to give me a bump start as it wont start when its hot! kinda funny though

Correct. However I've never seen another like it in all my years scavenging about on 8v's. Is your engine the Bosch or Siemens ECU? IIRC the Siemens type doesnt have it.
I believe I have a spare here though dog. Will go look now.

its bosch as far as i can remember. has a bosch air flow meter.

would litterally cry with pleasure if you have one mate!
