has anyone had a BDG head gasket? i know its not a GM part, but i need it on quickly (like tomorrow) as i need the car, also would i be able to swap this for the GM part without the need for skimming the head at a later date?

i would normally wait, but i NEED the car, as my other one has lost its clutch and this is the easier option at the moment as i have all the parts... :thumb:

in theory you need to skim head each gasket change, but its obviously just theory i would use the gasket you got then change it at a later date

put a steel ruler accross the head faces when its off and this should show any major distortion - obviously if its evident then it needs skimming
