My front left has started making a noise since this morning, and looking at it the caliper is rubbing on the disc. Any idea what could cause this?

Aye, all good. Had the calipers off to swap the pads and found they were wrong way round. So fixed them then and been great since, until today.

I know my trackings out again, cos of another bloody pothole. Could that be making it worse?

Not had a look at them but I don't think so. I cleaned everything when I put the new pads on :(

if the pads are new then maybe you just have a stone or something stuck inside them.

as i said in the pm, only takes a few mins to take them off to check

just had a quick look now, pads are good, both are good but there's play in the disc. the bit the hub attaches too at the back, with the rubber things on used to steer. alot of play from that, also allows the discs to move at an angle which catches the disc. is that bearings?

sounds like a collapsed wheel bearing. If you grab the wheel top and bottom, can you wobble it without the brake caliper moving? If so, that's what it'll likely be.
