the alloys on the car had 185 tyres on it would 175 fit and would they be safe?

gte's come with 175 tyres on the 3 spokes i think dont they.

depends on thr alloy width. You can get various widths above the size of the alloy - they just have a curved tyre wall that sticks out so the allow is set in.

Do you know how wide the alloys are (not the tyres though)?

yea...175's on GTE/GSi alloys (14") ...I dont think you can get 175 tyres for 15's though :o

NOPE just going by the tyres on the back and the wheels r tsw 14" 5 spoke loike stelths except u can c the nuts

I agree with putting the newer tyres on the back, but probably not to put thinner tyres than the front on there :| ...dont know how that would feel to drive

its oversteer tastic :)

i was running 185 60 14 on the front and 165/70/13 on the back, you can feel the tyres fold over and tbh it gripped quite well

im now running 195/50 /15 all round :)

some tyre fitting places/garages will refuse to put narrower tyres on the rear than the front as it can void your insurance if you crash.
