Unfinished Project 2.0 litre 8v

I have a mk2 red nova for sale, i bought it as a 1.2 and is still down as that on the log book. It had 3 owners from new and the mileage was 44k (old mot to prove) I put a 2 litre engine in from a calibra, with nova gsi driveshafts and cav mk2 inners. I have gsi sideskirts to go on, will need painting.

The engine is a little "growly" shall we say, after finding the engine and paying to get it put in i was a little dissapointed. My friend has said it may need a new engine, or bottom end?? I am not a car mechanic so i dont know about the bottom end? I do know is the money has dried up and i can't afford to put a new engine in it. It is taxed not sure about mot, would need to check (im thinking poss june, may be wrong tough) It is a clean nova, none of the arches or doors have any rust.

Please make a offer as i could do with it gone.

Ok cool, how do i do that then? also just checked, mot ran out in march, but should go through ok once everything sorted as it flew through last year and has hardly moved since! Alos just remembered it needs a new gear linkage? can only get 1st 3rd and 5th, been told this is not a big job though!!
