AMP QUESTION PLEASE HELP ME

you will be able to if your amp is bridgeable.

you connect + from 1 channel with the + speaker connection and

the - from the other channel to the - speaker connection.

i dont think you can do that

if your asking if you can use two channels to power one thing, then yes you can bridge them as said in novatakens post

but no not really - u CANT connect two amps to one sub - to much watts will go through, and kaboom!

it is possible to connect two amps to give a more powerful signal but it cant be done with any old amp, there are only a few manufactures (eg kicker) whos top ov the range amps can do this, i take it ur not talkin about a really expensive amp so i would say dont do it!!!

Kicker for one aint expensive compared to rockford or directed or audio bahn!

But icker amps all carry preouts so another can be attached without needin another preout from the stereo! Sure thats rite!

hey m8, trust me, u can connect two amps to give a more powerful signal!!!!!, as for kicker not being expensive, i was meaning it will be more expensive than the amps that malton2bad has( iam presuming cause you didnt mention a make or model etc)

It is possible to do this... on certain Alpine amps you can connect the left RCA to one of the amps and the right RCA to the other amp. You can then bridge each amp to its OWN subwoofer and have the amps (which are 2 channel) running in true mono mode.

If you wanted to use 2 amps on ONE sub though in this kind of configuration you would need something with dual coils or similar so each amp would power an individual coil each. so they would get the full power of each amp.... take for example my CV 18" stroker. dual coils 800wrms handling - per coil making a total of 1600wrms. atm its got a 1507 Alpine amp bridged and running in series to each coil making a 1ohm load to the amp which gives it 900wrms shared between each coil.
If i used another 1507 and ran it in true mono each coil would receive 900wrms which would be 1800wrms in total!

and one more thing you would need exactly the same make/model of amp and get them setup correctly using an RTA (if you doing it with a dual coil sub) because each amp might be rated slightly higher or lower than the other which, if not setup right could damage the speaker.

Be careful and if in any doubt consult the manufacturer first to make sure this is possible with your amps and find out what configurations they recommend.
