fk coilovers

hiya all. ive noticed in total vauxhall lmf are selling fk coilovers for ?150, anyone used these at all? whats the genral opinion on these? i know its usualy a case of you get what you pay for but every now and again things do come up cheaply that actually are half decent.

For that price it will more than likely be front coilovers only. FK are a good brand AFAIK.

Sure FK are a cheap product made by one of the so say better brands, sure read that somewhere.

they're crap!!!

a couple of my mates got them and they are soft,springs are too long so they rub on the tyre, and the camber is a c**t of a job to set up.

better off getting some 2nd hand spax rsx or something similar.

lol, springs are too long, buy shorter ones. Camber will be out even with shocks and springs!

i have these on my nova with 2 piece springs and there fine no tyre rubbin and much better that the gmax suspention kit i had on before. also i never had a problem with my camber. hope this helps

I'd have Fks over Spax, hated the spax rsx stuff.

goin be much better than my gmax specials that were on my old nova anywho. think its quite cheap myself its coilovers for the front and rear shocks with 60 or 40mm springs. i cant imagine how the front springs could of been to long though? so wyouve wound them all the way down and theyve bowed out and rubbed the tyre?? and like pete said the camber would be out even if you had normal lowered springs and shocks.

Helper spring and the main spring i think.

ive never heard of helper springs before. do they just hang bk and give the normal spring some moral supprt like
"theres a nasty pot hole approaching, you can handle this man!"" (in the best american accent you can do)

yep thats what i mean but with my speedlines on they were nearl touching the tyres so i removed the helper spring and there still fine went to southport in it yesterday and the ride on the motorway wasnt to bad :D
