i fitted some FKs earlier and iv got a problem lol i put it on the lowest it would go and its about the right height, even though i wouldnt of minded it a tad lower. i noticed my wheel was turning abit, looked round at the other side and that was also turning, but the opposite way.
have i fitted these wrong or is the tracking just seriously out?

your tracking is out. because youve lowered it your steering arms are now at an angle and effectively shorter
Whenever you lower the car you need to have the tracking done.

i know youre meant to get it done, but iv never had to and iv had some pretty low cars, so wasnt sure if it was that or something else.
so even if it is that out is it just a case of getting it down to a garage and theyl sort it easily?
Yep providing the track ends are rusted solid like most lol
i would raise it back up to drive to the garage and then lower it there as it will be almost impossible to drive like that (im talking from experience). plus it'll shag your tyres

lol true. thats a relief anyway, its just going to look a bit silly till i get it done. will have to wait for the mot day to drive it down so its going to be a bit of a ball ache.
and also, id say its lowered about 90mm at the mo, is that the lowest other peoples fks go? is there anything to remove to get it lower?
Do yours have helper springs? (Little springs at the bottom or top of the main big spring)

ye i was thinking that. if i find a garage within a mile from me then il just see if i can drive it like that. il decide that when the time comes :)
you could always do the tracking yourself.

is this easy to do? what do i do? i might ask my mate to see if hes done it before, hopefully he says yes lol
nope no helper springs on there.
you need a mate to help you and basically you choose a point on the tyre and measure from the fronts of the tyre and the backs. i set mine to neutral and its been sound. goes straight, handles well and now uneven tyre wear
No helper spring there.
And if you got a pic of the topmounts it would be a help, or give it a search.

cheers guys. il ask my mate to see if he wants to try and track it, if not il just get a garage to do it, least itl be done right.
and im pretty sure iv done the shocks right. il get a pic up though sometime just do double check.
thanks for the help, very quick replies considering the time on a friday night! :)
lol If anyone asks im in bed.
Top mounts iirc you use the whole thing but the rubber bit, Doubt youve done it wrong though. Preety simples.
Might be something with Fks. As they pushed my tracking miles out too.
My tracking is similar, ive been to 2 ThickFits and neither can get it right and both say its set right when they do it.

i wont be taking my car to thicksh1ts. hopefully other garages can sort it
Benn, have you put yours to its lowest? is it the same height as mine? ie. the a 15" wheel just touching the wing.

was i meant to use this bit? i didnt put it on as its the width of the old spring, the coilies are alot smaller. its the bit where the rubber sits onto

just searched and found this pics of somebody elses, mine is made up like this so im guessing its right

you just need to use the bearing out of that bit. its nothing to do with fks as i had spax. it is literally just how low your running it

On a 16" the fks where set right down low, get it set right, find a tyre fitter that can do tracking by lasor. No lights and knobs and crap.

i had some play on the drivers side shock at the top. so i put that thing on that i posted a pic of before as my mate said that it needed to be on. theres still play in it, can see the top mount move about where it bolts to the top. what will this be?

I did the tracking myself too. Just did it by eye and it was bang on.
Quite easy, if a tad tedious..
