Was searching tinterweb for a certain picture of an xe engine and came across this model build, thought it was quite cool!

surely if you go to the effort of front mounting the alternator and dry sumping you would run a coil pack so you could map the ignition and make the most of the engine

Its not mine, I found it on some model making forum I came across whilst looking for pic of Xe's...

Didn't take note of the site link sorry! :roll: :( But there wasn't really any other pics other than what I've posted, and the site wasn't even in English so had no idea what anything said! lol

lol I was just wondering, I had seen model-size working V8 engines...

I have got a 1/18 scale Vauxhall XE out of a model Caterham kicking about my room somewhere

Not as highly detailed as those ones but its the old 'Redtop' none the less :)

edit, ade befor you say im a model maker as well. you would do it better, i wouldnt want that weight on my shoulders lol

The cam-cover has been mis-placed

I'll look it out and get some pics up lol

Theres an old set of model carbs with an air-filter on it as well but no exhaust/manifold...
