Forgot to say that after 5 mins of being there the steering wheel boss was off lol.

Lee
25-04-09, 10:17 PM
LOL

Its a fecking animal. This was after I discovered the weird knocking noise and strange sensation through the steering wheel was the driveshaft balancer hitting the alternator lol

Lmao, can that just be slid up/down the shaft to clear it or have you just invented the massage steering wheel lol

Lee
25-04-09, 10:26 PM
I removed it lol

I dread to think what this thing will do top end if anyone was stupid enough to try it. I intended to plant the thing and see what happens, but it goes like death itself at only half throttle lol

We nicknamed it the loon of death when we XE'd it, but now its actually going to live up to its name!

I hope youre looking into something along the lines of wilwoods or brembo's for it then if it now has uber power, btw any gen on completion date?

what g/box is it running lee? f20?

Lee
25-04-09, 10:31 PM
Yeah, if it was mine, it would be a soon to be mashed F20, but Jack drives sensibly and we built it as a daily drive cruiser so the F20 should be fine. Ratio's are uber fun with the 2.0 fly though lol

Spudders, its running V6 brakes so they should be adequate, especuially for reasons above. If i can book it into infinity for next sat it will be finished then.

Luke, its a mentalist in a straight line. Corners? well thats to be seen when we can give it a proper go when its below 200db lol

I predict it will be a bit of a ditch finder but as i said, its not been built as a nipper, its a daily cruiser :)

Thats fair enough, i know a lot of people who used them just think it depends who makes it tbh.

What makes you think that? Nobody's opinion has changed, nobody said V6's were turd full stop. V6's always have been, and always will be, crap if you're after handling, however, for a mile munching mini-autobahn stormer it will be fine - which has always been the consensus.

V6's are poor in most peoples eyes due largely to the std flywheel weight & poor ratios of the F23 for performance.
