mk1-mk2 whats the difference?

whats the differenc between and mk1 and a mk2 body? apart from the headlights. are the arches different?

Mk1 rear arches - lips are bigger

Inner wings have a slight differance iirc.

Front panel will problery have holes or no holes for the mk1 grill.

Bonnets are different (badge/badgless plus other small things)

Mk1 doors might not holes the screw holes for the C-shape door handle/pocket

the vin tag on a mk1 is straight not at an angle

keeping it mk1 but was wondering about the arches as the mk'2 seem to look wider. and i've got to fit 2 new rear arche to mine so was thinking maybe mk2 rears?

Well I never knew that. Are you sure the bonnets are different and it's not that because the wings are different they seam to appear smaller.

If not you could always cut back the new arches first before fitting and spot weld them further in so you'll have more clearance. I remember seeing your nova before parked in aylesford and first thing I thought was it needs the arches doing lol

Nope, Hence why its common to put a mk1 bonnet on a mk2 to get rid of the badge!
