Went to buy a BMX today and saw this sat outside the workshop.
I recognise it, it was for sale not long ago, the lad had it one day and did this to it.
Check the creased roof.
Its a C20XE but still cool

Looking at the car, id say it passed it like.
Both A pillars are quite badly corroded anyway.
Hes looking to re-shell it.....
Good luck!

my boss just bought a red 3door 1.3s 19k one owner for £500 fookin sweet it is
tyhats an easy reshell tbh. its unrepairable due tothe roof kink, which means the shell has had a torsional stress movement. legs are available in germay, but are around £450 each.

They up for selling it?
Noooo, that poor poor mk1 thats such a shame:cry::cry::cry:
I know its not right, but lol
I have no real reason to dislike them or any other Astra but I just dont like them. I sold my old one in favour of an SRi Cav.
theres plenty bits there, so its an easy re shell. and it doesnt look a gen gte, look at the bonding for the arches....
Stop virtually raping the poor thing with your eyes will you robert, whether its a gen one or not its still got all the right bits to be a GTE and its still a mk1 which is rare these days and its still sat there in pain so shush or ill  even more!

ooooh ben you need to sell that to me if you ever don't want it!
shame about the other one, looks like it's rotten anyway.
most are rotten there.
i'm going to look at 1 this weekend :D not a gte though, just a 1.2, for daily use.
What are you on about, doesnt look that bad, whats the damage to the leg/lower arm?
Apillar damage is just from the wing, roof just looks like a small dent in one side.
Doesnt look that bad. I've fixed and repair wont.

ha ha, it really was too cheap to be turned down, funny story how i got it. i had been giving a phone number for a guy who had a 2.0 8v, what i needed for my gsi. i rung him up he told me where he lived, so i went to have a look at it. i walked up his drive and the astra was there. i asked whats going on with the astra. "o its a project for someone" its not for sale then?
"yh thats what i mean its yours for £??? il even trailor it you home". so here it is. lol

astra GTEs are so lush, i would buy one anyday... But it would have to be a 1982 shell or nothing

I had a opel kaddet 1.3 SR on a W plate but the council stole it :(
theres a 1.6SR in camborne, and my mate bought a GTE from wales...and it broke down on the M5 on the way home lol
that is rather gutting to see that, i love the shape of the mk1
Thats a shame, I love mk1 astras but hate seeing them like that after they've been destroyed by some pikey idiot.
Hope he came out of it worse than the astra did.

I was born in 82, and im always on the look out for a 82 car to restore.

Ben, how come you don't have that all covered up and away from the elements? They rust as bad as nova's, almost as bad as mantas lol

i just got pics of it the other day on my phone..
i have seen the astra in dumfries a fair bit, me and my boss even stopped to look at it when it was advertised for sale outside tesco's..
my mate i go to college with was given a shot of the astra only a few hours after the boy bought it. he said it was awesome!the owner only had it on the road 8 hours before crashing it!!
p.s, the black nova next to it has a xe in with 45's ect..
meant to be a fair weapon..
