how much horse do you reckon id be looking at if i put the following onto my 1.2:

- 1.4 cam and ignition setup to match
- 4 branch exhaust manifold
- 1.3sr inlet
- pierburg 2e with a k&n

would make a nice revvy engine probably. im thinkin around 65 horse ?
any danger of the valves kissing the pistons with the 1.4 cam ?
alternatively i could just drop a 1.4 in @ 79 ish horse, but not keen on the re-registering malarky etc.
are both blocks the same weight i wonder

I would agree with burgo.

1.4 cam should be fine, but dont expect it to be "Valve Safe" anymore.

it should be safe still... it needs 5.5mm of lift at TDC (with a mega skimmed head and semi intruder pistons lol) to cause problems.

I'll go with 65ish.
Velos had 5bhp on a std 1.2 with a 1.3 cam on its own in there... so assuming the rings and valves are ok thats nearly 60 straight away :D

hmm, its gonna have to be the 1.4 in that case, with the 4 branch on it, might be about 80 gallopy gallops, will have to convert the auto choke to manual as there forever going wrong.
whats the 1.4's next biggest restriction bar the inlet ports ?

Concentrate on fuelling and try do something about the afore mentioned inlet ports. An SE head would work wonders.....
