bored out engines

Hello morning all right i have been thinking about getting my 1400 sri engine bored out to a 1500 how much will it cost me and what parts we i need to replace can any one help me

and i want to run a f13 box but what box will be better a f13 or f13cr

Ridiculous amounts cheaper to bung a 1.6 in there, you'd need to get the boring work done by a machine shop, bore rehoned, and then pistons to fit, unless you find some standard pistons that happen to fit, you're looking at a decent sized 3 figure sum, could fit a reconditioned 1.6 on webers for roughly the same price probably. Have you looked at any insurance quotes yet? I looked when I first got my car/passed and to insure a 1.6 conversion was around 3.5k, and I was 20 at the time.

As said above. Literally no point when 1.6 engines can be picked up and fitted in standard form for £200
