They come in both 4 and 5speed. For that engine id go for a F13 and then chose final drive and Short or long ratio.

An F10 is either 4 speed or 5 speed and is "long" ratio, never short ratio.

How much do you want to spend?

On a budget, start with an F13CR, then add a limited slip diff and upgrade to a straight cut close ratio box as the funds increase.

there were short ratio f10 boxes, but they were usually on obscure low powered opel kadetts (mk1 astra) these are about as rare as free blowjobs..... they appear on the bay once in a while & are worth hundreds, the grass track racers love them.

so go for an f13cr box. you can fit lower ratio diffs from the f10 box, but it depends on just what you are looking for, ie. competition, road, rally, etc.

the engine and box was originaly from a grass track motor.... i think i'll stick the one i got in and see how it goes
