Ive noticed my battery is low on water. Is it right instead of using distilled water you can just boil the kettle then put it then once the water has gone cold?

ive tried it once before, it didnt work so well, killed the battery shortly after.
the steam that comes off the kettle is the good stuff, difficult to gather that tho

Ive heard depending on where you are in the country you can just use normal tap water but im guessing maybe not from down your neck of the woods

Dr.Pepper, whats the worst that could happen!

If its on its way out, worse you're going to do is kill it

But thats what i dont want to do. Ive got sod all money at the moment. And if it did die that would be me off the road. If i could keep it lasting another month i would try it then

think distilled waters about 68p at tescos for a litre. I get 4ltr for £1.24 lol. If you have a condenser tumble dryer you can use the water in the tank. use a j cloth to filter any fluff.

keithrg thats actually a pretty good call, apart from any detergents left in there....... Distilled water is the only way to go.. boiling a kettle isnt going to do the trick, distilled water has pretty much EVERYTHING removed bar H2O, if you top it up with normal water then its going to have loadsa bits in it, like limescale, chlorine, christ knows what else!
TBH Distilled water is the only way to go....... and for the red wine trick, its not a bad idea however eventually once the water has evaporated its going to leave gunk in the bottom and short out cells in the battery

Its cheap and considering the amount of time you will be topping it up its by far the cheapest option!
