a year ago i bought a peco bb4 and it was not loud and it didnt get much louder over the year due to the fact that the exhaust hole got a lot narrower an inch in. i wasnt very impressed :|

There not the best back boxes in the world r PECO, but they should defo be louder than ur standard one...

give it a month as i think that mite be why its quiet. If not, give the guys at peco a b*llockin an say... "this exhaust is suppost to be a BIG BORE, & I aint gettin no BIG BORE so i want it sortin!!!" lol

I've got a peco BB2 and to be quite honest i think its utter crap. Its not loud at all unless im accelerating really hard. I've been running it properly for a coupla weeks so hopefully it will get louder, but i've dont about 500 miles with it.

ive got a Sportex one too.
Twin upswept DTM.

Sounds good but I have a Janspeed 4 branch too.
Sounds different with the standard manifold.

Had a custom exhaust on the car when I bought it and it sounded much better. It rusted through tho and the guy didnt know where to get a replacement.

My BB4 backbox is WELL loud on my 1.2, but the rest of the exhaust is from a GTE so that mite make it louder, plus got a K&N.

My exhuast even splutters when u let the rev's off!!!!

I had a peco once and it was really bad, like everyboy says ashley or sportex would be a better option. or save up and buy a magnex like i did :D

depending on when your car is registered it can goto the MOT without CAT pipe

only the VERY last models of nova were required to have a cat by LAW and are noted down on the books like

 quality - AFAI concerned id never go back - induction roar is a minter when u boot it and boot pedal to floor! - its not as if i like the top end speed they give as i try to always stay about 5 - 8 miles per hour over limit MAX, its just acceleratng away in the traffic light grand prix and gettin upto speed thats fun 8)

i dont rag my car mind, but when its under your right foot occasionally its good to get the cobwebs outta them trumpets!!

when i was running round in the shed last year (1.2) someone had put a BB4 on there and it sounded ridiculos. it is pointles having the roar unless you have got the power to match it as soon as someone else puts there foot down your left standing!

Exactly what I think! My mate got a BB4 and its just a BB2 with a bigger bore on the outside! Looks TOO big!

If you are gonna get a Peco go for a 2 or other but not a 4!

There is nothing worse than a car which looks crap and is slow with an exhaust the size of an elephants cock.

Especially since after a while in will coke up a bit and be loud as fcuk all the time not just when it should be at higher revs before gear shifts.

Oh well

I got a bb2 and when it came in the post it looks like a standard exhaust pipe with a bake bean tin on the end. The others i have seen have came out of the box the size they are at the end? i think it is to do with the bend on a standard pipe so it comes out straight but most just come out of the bumper at an angle. why is mine so different?? Mine sounds quiet at certain revs but sweet at others.

got a mongoose full system with a 3.5" tailpipe sounds nice not too intrusive either but it is expensive get a manex backbox will look much better or even sportex or ashley are very good i dont rate peco it better saving up and buying somthing else.

im sorry, but why does everyone insist on having the Peco 'BB' series?

Havent you heard the jokes about us Nova drivers with Pecos? ive gotta admit, the fezzy boys and saxo boys are just as bad, if not worst for them!

why not just buy a performance system like magnex, scorpion, janspeed or mongoose?

Pecos are the worst on the marget, they are a sham!

sprry guys, but its the exhaust that makes ppl notice the car, at least have something decent!

all i have at the mo, is a twin exit tail pipe, but in the new insurance yr, i will be getting a system from listed above!

ashley and rage are among the best for systems

i always thought janspeed for manifolds

you lot do know that peco are actually an acoustics company, specialising in sound damping, making things roar and stuff, don't you?

my mate had one and it sort of, erm, rusted away.
