If it wasent at the other end of the country id have picked it up by now and it would be stripped of the horrid body kit and be made original.

^ LOL there's more fibreglass in that pic than at a Relian Robin Vs RS200 1/4 mile day mate. I think the mk2 front it the least 'demanding' aspect of the transformation.

WTF has anyone els read the sale thread on ebay?

Dear me, why bother, scrap it, it's not worth anyone restoring it to a sport.

Possibly genuine. Seen worse over my years imho

Other thread in muppet (http://www.pngclub.com/forum/showthread.php?t=119317)

Hmm. IF its a genuine Sport, would it be worth restoring? I guess someone who has the desire to do it could probably bring it back to its original state, but then cost vs end (financial) value would be a bit off with the amount of work that would need doing.

Could be a cheap way to buy a Sport identity though and reshell perhaps...

Do an insurance quote and see what it says the reg is related to, have done it before and they can come up as Sports.

Not a proper HPi then just a text job. A proper HPI will tell you everything you need to know even the last time a HPi was carried out.

I emailed him about this & he said whoever changed the engine on the log book must have added the 'sr' at the same time

Do a search, theres about a thousand threads to what sports were registered as.

You can't change the description neither, "eg" GSi can not be changed to GTE etc.

Actually thats incorrect as a lass over on cavcrazy had her LET Cav SRi hatch re-registered as a Turbo on the V5:thumb:

I think Ill leave this one well alone - at the end of the day what remains of it f it was a sport? Engine No Gearbox No Interior No Bodywork No . . . and a doctored DVLA description if its genuine. Just a bodyshell with horrid arches somehow attached and a mk2 front!

It should by rights be on a Q plate anyway as more than 75% is not original - only body and back axle I suspect.
