View Full Version : 2.0 NE convertion questions.

As I had an NE laying in the corner and a Nova without an engine I decided to do the obvious. Now, the NE is a wide belt pulley, I;ve sorted the Altinator out but the bottom pulley is a different story. I've removed the wide belt pully in favour of a double V pully only to find that the V pulley wont fit, the stud pattern in the wide belt is closer and the centre bolt wont hold the narrow pulley in place and if it did, it'd sit 10-15mm out too far. What does I doo's?

Also, I've opted for the high spec and incredibly expensive Spacer blosk for the drivers side mount but what mount actually bolts to it? I've tried the Small Block Nova item only to find the holes done line up and the Cast Alu item from the Cav donor would sit about 4" into the Chassis leg and so, about 5 or 6" too long.

Help?

You can redrill a C20XE one Mate, Just make sure its balanced mate, Then get the outter lip cut down,

The XE Crank Pulley or the Mount?

dod, you need a carlton c20ne post 1991 bottom pulley. and use a std 2.0 or 1.8 astra mk2 engine mount.

thats the point. try chris astley mate, but be prepared for big euro prices. sorry.
