i have heard that a 1.2 block with 1.3 crank, rods and pistons = 1.4 hi-comp engine. can anyone shed some light on this please? thanks

there is a few threads on this, basic info is that get a 12st engine a 13s engine take the 12st pistons, crank, and head and put it all on the 13s engine (i think ill look up the link) and use a 1.4 carb, 1.2 head gasket. you will need to bore the 13s block out a few mm tho

pure gold thanks m8, i was informed that my engine (see my project build) is a 1.2 with 1.3 bits to increase capacity and compresion. i was not sure weather it was possible that that had been done

That looks quite interesting, however if its the 1.2 with 1300 internals its no wonder that the last owner couldnt get it to inject! old engine with new injection system? pah! aint going to work what so ever! for a start there are loadsa sensors that aint there!! you need to check the crank and what not to see if it is a 1.3 crank (not sure how to check but i would take the part number and give it to vaux!) keep ya threaad updated as i wanna build one of these for giggles but before i do i wanna see how it goes!
