1.2l engine cutting out when driving

when i drive my 1.2l nova the engine cuts out a few times when its been driven hard. when it cuts out it starts on the button straight away. could it be a lose wire or conection or or could it be getting to much fuel? the engine is complety standard

check plugs and leads before anything........ when does it happen?? i mean warm cold ect

it has new plugs and the leads are ok. it happens when it is warm

i suggest you try a new coil.

does it just die or does it spludder cough and die?

has it got auto choke.

it just dies off. it has a manual choke. i will have a look later to see if the choke goes off when i push it back in it might be half way on the hole time

if the choke was left out the car would die before you drove it if it was warm enough or everytime you stopped the bollocks would be revving off of it or would be harder to stop then usuall
