Just think it a bit harsh getting people banned for trying to have a bit harmless banter without really thinking.
Dont know your particular case but a more suitable course of action would have been a warning and removing said posts rather than banning people that enjoy using the site for something so silly and then leaving the posts up for all to see and making a fool of them :roll:

Yep, plenty of posts have been removed from that thread and reminders posted. I've just amended the thread title to make it clearer.

The reason we say "no OT chat or banter" is because we've had uncountable "show us yer face" threads before, and you can guarantee they end up as 100's of page of chitchat and trivia - mostly from young lads getting the rand over the few pictures of girls that get posted in there, and asking to see their boobs.
