fuelling problems

right now i've put a new fuel pump control relay and brand new fuel pump in , car starts fine sometimes revs up nicely, but then sometimes above 3000rpm it just stutters and wont rev over that, and then sometimes it just barely runs at all. I've tried a used and a new fuel pump and they've both been ridiculously noisy , is this a factor? I'm completly lost now and really frustrated with the thing. Can any one help?

what engine, any mods?

its a 1.6 8v gte lump with no mods

when there noisey it either there clamped to hard or theres no fuel getting through or bubbles. might be a blockage in the lines or timing belt slipped
