you can fit them and it would be a proper scremer! thats the best way of getting the most power out a 1.3, at end of day you arent going to get miles and miles of power out of it

the bike engine thing will be a huge amount of work, but the other option would work fine.

Agree the bike engine would be far from simple and would cost a fortune

the bike engine was just a "do u think it could be done" question. seeing as westfields have them, but they are rwd

there was a thread about a month ago, and burgo knows a lot about this sort of thing, vehicle weight is the key.

Bike engines have naff-all torque, so its debatable if a Nova would actually be all that fast with one tbh. I reckon an XE on tb's would be quicker & cheaper so the bike engine idea is only really a talking point rather than a viable option tbh.

All the usual steps of modding apply to the 8v engines. Breathing, exhausts, headwork, cam & then mega bucks on a strong bottom end. You wont see much more than 120bhp from a 1300, that would be peaky & poor in a road car & likely only as fast as a better behaved GTE 1600 injection engine that will use far less fuel.

and a red rear exhaust silencer!
twin 40 carbs are worth it for the noise alone, get some.

but stats say the sport was faster to 60 than all the other standard nova's!

(don't bite me, its just what it says in the total vauxhall tech spec)

of course it was, it was lighter & had more power...

but the gte/gsi had lower gearing & took an extra change to get to 60... but would probably beat it to a ton
